Episode 5: one long to the target, and the evaluation is passed

The last session of the evaluation. The morning’s first trade left without us: no big deal, there is always another one. The next one, an 18 MNQ Nasdaq long at 08:40, goes to its target. The account ends at $53,058.22, up $710.28: the $3,000 target is passed, and so is the Apex evaluation.

Long MNQ 08:40
08:40 · Long MNQ : The signal: the indicator’s BUY on the Nasdaq, the last of four that morning. The entry: long 18 MNQ at 31,247.75 at 08:40, on the CISD and the 5-minute FVG, target set at 31,268. The stop was moved into profit (31,254.75) before price reached the target. Fully closed at the target: +20.25 points, $710.28 after fees.

What makes the difference: risk and patience

If I had to keep only one thing from these five sessions, it would be this: the indicator shows the setups, but risk management and patience do the rest. The same risk on every trade, decided before clicking, and never raised to “win it back” after a loss. That is what let me absorb the bad day of October 1 without putting the account in danger.

Patience, next. A signal that leaves without you, like this morning, is not chased: you let it go and wait for the next one. And when the signal is there, you still wait for the confirmation before entering. My mistakes in this challenge were entering too late or getting out too early, never waiting.

The indicator does the watching for you; it does not do the discipline. That part is your job, and it is the key.

The end of the challenge

This episode is the last one of the evaluation: the $3,000 target reached in five sessions, with the indicator alone to pick the trades, and everything published here, losses included.

A short recap episode will follow, with the full review: every trade, what worked, what I managed badly, and what I keep for what comes next.
