Find the IFVG: the game to spot an Inversion Fair Value Gap

Loading the game…

An FVG that gives way does not vanish: it switches sides. You just have to see it. The game: three real Nasdaq or gold charts. Among the FVGs, tap the one a candle closed through. Those that hold are traps.

How to play

Pick a level, then find the IFVG on three charts in a row. Tap the right candle and the answer appears on the chart; tap the wrong one and the game shows you what is off, candle by candle. After each chart, the answer lists every solution with its time and price.

Easy: unlimited mistakes. Medium: three mistakes. Hard: just one. You can stretch the candles by dragging the price or time scale, as on TradingView.

The rule that keeps score

FVGs are spotted as in the FVG game: three candles in a row where the 1st and the 3rd do not overlap. The right answer is always the middle candle.

An FVG becomes an IFVG when a candle closes on the other side of the gap: below a bullish FVG, above a bearish one. A wick across it is not enough. FVGs that hold, or that a wick only crossed, show as traps. A close grazing the edge of the gap leaves the chart out.

Why train this way

Knowing the definition is good. Spotting it in a blink on a moving chart is something else, and that is exactly what this game trains: lots of charts, the answer straight away, the explanation when you get it wrong. Your eye learns fast, with nothing to learn by heart. It is a reading exercise on past data, not a trading signal.
