Find the CHoCH: the game to spot a Change of Character

Loading the game…

BOS or CHoCH? The question everyone gets stuck on at first. One game, and you will never mix them up again. The game: three real Nasdaq or gold charts. Read the trend, then tap the candle that closes against it. The BOS are traps.

How to play

Pick a level, then find the CHoCH on three charts in a row. Tap the right candle and the answer appears on the chart; tap the wrong one and the game shows you what is off, candle by candle. After each chart, the answer lists every solution with its time and price.

Easy: unlimited mistakes. Medium: three mistakes. Hard: just one. You can stretch the candles by dragging the price or time scale, as on TradingView.

The rule that keeps score

The trend is read on the last two highs and the last two lows before the break: both rising, the trend is up; both falling, down. A swing counts when 2 lower (or higher) candles surround it on each side.

The CHoCH is the first candle that closes beyond the last swing against that trend: below the last low in an uptrend, above the last high in a downtrend. A close with the trend is a BOS, which shows as a trap. A chart where highs and lows disagree (a range) is left out: there is no sure answer.

Why train this way

Knowing the definition is good. Spotting it in a blink on a moving chart is something else, and that is exactly what this game trains: lots of charts, the answer straight away, the explanation when you get it wrong. Your eye learns fast, with nothing to learn by heart. It is a reading exercise on past data, not a trading signal.
