Find the sessions: the game to learn the London and New York hours

Loading the game…

The market does not move the same way at 3:00 and at 15:00. Knowing which session you are looking at is the basics. The game: three real Nasdaq or gold charts. Read the time and tap the candle that opens the session asked, or the one after the London / New York overlap.

How to play

Pick a level, then find the right candle on three charts in a row. Tap the right candle and the answer appears on the chart; tap the wrong one and the game shows you what is off, candle by candle. After each chart, the answer lists every solution with its time and price.

Easy: unlimited mistakes. Medium: three mistakes. Hard: just one. You can stretch the candles by dragging the price or time scale, as on TradingView.

The rule that keeps score

The hours are those of the site’s market hours tool, New York time: London opens at 3:00, New York at 8:00, and the two overlap until 11:30, the European close.

Each chart asks for one of these three candles. The Asian session, 19:00 to 4:00, is not on these charts, which run from 3:00 to 16:00. On a mistake, the game gives the time, and the difference with the killzone: New York’s starts at 8:30, half an hour after the session opens.

Why train this way

Knowing the definition is good. Spotting it in a blink on a moving chart is something else, and that is exactly what this game trains: lots of charts, the answer straight away, the explanation when you get it wrong. Your eye learns fast, with nothing to learn by heart. It is a reading exercise on past data, not a trading signal.
